Minister Vu Hai Quan addresses the APEC Ministerial Meeting on Digital and AI.
According to the Minister, the first pillar centers on institutions and policy, guided by the overarching principle that legislation must not act as a barrier, but rather serve as a solid foundation to foster development.
The second pillar focuses on human resources and talent, with talent identified as the paramount factor and the crucial core determining the success of AI development.
The third pillar encompasses infrastructure, data, and AI startups, aiming to build a comprehensive AI ecosystem centered around robust infrastructure, rich data, and a vibrant community of young startups.

Minister Vu Hai Quan further emphasized that AI development is a shared journey that demands international collaboration. Viet Nam remains committed to strengthening cooperation with China and other APEC member economies to forge a safe, secure, and sustainable AI future.
On this occasion, the Minister announced that Viet Nam will proudly assume the role of host country for APEC in 2027. He extended a cordial invitation to Ministers and leaders in charge of the Digital and AI sectors from all member economies to attend the events hosted in Viet Nam throughout APEC Year 2027./.
