During the meeting, Ms. Annabel Lee provided updates on the progress of AWS's research regarding the Local Zones/Data Center Cluster development plan in Viet Nam. She also discussed various regulatory and technical matters, including investment policies, connectivity infrastructure, incentives, taxation, cybersecurity, and the legal framework governing cloud computing activities. The AWS representative expressed the desire to receive continued support and guidance from the Ministry of Science and Technology to accelerate the project's implementation.

Acknowledging AWS's proposals, Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long stated that Ministry of Science and Technology would convey these recommendations to relevant ministries and agencies for review and consideration within their competence. The Deputy Minister affirmed that Viet Nam always encourages large-scale, high-tech investment projects that contribute to driving national digital transformation and infrastructure development.
The Deputy Minister expressed his hope that AWS would invest in cloud computing infrastructure in Viet Nam; Support the formation of a robust tech ecosystem, attracting international and domestic enterprises, digital solution providers, and the innovation community to jointly drive development.
