Minister Vu Hai Quan shares three lessons on digital transformation at the UN
<p style="text-align: justify;">Putting people at the center, integrating technology into daily life, and expanding coverage to all regions are three core lessons on digital transformation recently shared by Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan at the United Nations.</p>
On the afternoon of September 21, 2026, in New York, Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan attended the discussion session "Global Digital Compact in Action - Open Mic."

At the session, the Minister shared three lessons drawn from Viet Nam's digital transformation process. First, it is essential to build a shared digital platform that seamlessly connects infrastructure, data, platforms, and digital services; place citizens and businesses at the center; and promote an "AI-first" principle.
Second, digital transformation must penetrate daily life. The Minister cited VNeID, which is being developed into a trusted portal that enables citizens and businesses to access public services and engage in the digital ecosystem.
Third, digital transformation must reach every community, particularly those in mountainous, border, and island regions. Viet Nam is actively working to eliminate cellular dead zones, ensuring that no citizens, communities, or children are left behind.
The Minister stressed that digital transformation is not merely a tech project, but a national development effort. He also reaffirmed Viet Nam's support for the Global Digital Compact as a framework for sharing experience and fostering international cooperation./.
